Insane Keto Benefits After So Much On Trending

If a good before-and-after photo is your ultimate Instagram guilty pleasure, then today’s your lucky day here for the best instagram examples photos. Here @KetoTransformations it has more than 1,000 holy-shit-is-that-the-same-person pics. SHOCKING truth LOL.

As you’ve no doubt guessed by now, the account features people who have tried the keto diet—a.k.a. a high-fat plan that starves your body of carbs and sends it into a fat-burning state called “ketosis” COOL ISN’T —and who’ve lost a bunch of weight in the process.

“I feel younger, stronger, and full of energy,” one man says in his caption. “I am definitely never going back.”

But, you know what they say about pictures speaking louder than words:

Introducing @happyhumbleketo: I gained 70lbs from both my pregnancies and weighed my heaviest EVER. I tried doing home workouts and eating clean which had previously worked but not this time. I’m so grateful that i researched about the ketogenic diet I have been following this way of eating since October 2017 and I’ve lost 30lbs so far! I am by no means perfect and i still have my slip ups but I’m super proud of how far I’ve come and excited to continue my weight loss journey!! . . . #myketotransformation #fitspiration #weightloss #weightlossjourney #ketofam #weightlossmotivation #transformation #fitfam #weightlosstransformation #extremeweightloss #fitness #instafit #inspiration #motivation #fitnessmotivation #beforeandafter #diet #exercise #trainandtransform #beforeandafterweightloss #biggestloser #keto #lowcarb #lchf #ketotransformations

Introducing @jdwall32: I fell off the keto wagon. Keto living got me in the shape you see on the left. Perfect for swimsuit season and I felt great! Shortly afterwards, it started with a cookie after a healthy meal…..then milk, then no healthy meal….finally, all remnants of a keto life were gone. Now I feel sluggish, my pants don't fit right and I'm all-in-all miserable. I've got to get back on track and on the road to health and happiness. . . . #myketotransformation #fitspiration #weightloss #weightlossjourney #ketofam #weightlossmotivation #transformation #fitfam #weightlosstransformation #extremeweightloss #fitness #instafit #inspiration #motivation #fitnessmotivation #beforeandafter #diet #exercise #trainandtransform #beforeandafterweightloss #biggestloser #keto #lowcarb #lchf #ketotransformations

Introducing @tcatta25: I started keto on January 29th this year and am already down 17.5 pounds! After having 2 kids, gaining close to 100 pounds with both and both being csections I was feeling extremely discouraged and embarrassed by my body. Everyone always told me "love your body, it created human life" but I could never get myself to actually LOVE what my body had done. I now feel better than ever and can't wait to see my continuous progress! . . . #myketotransformation #fitspiration #weightloss #weightlossjourney #ketofam #weightlossmotivation #transformation #fitfam #weightlosstransformation #extremeweightloss #fitness #instafit #inspiration #motivation #fitnessmotivation #beforeandafter #diet #exercise #trainandtransform #beforeandafterweightloss #biggestloser #keto #lowcarb #lchf #ketotransformations

The account, which has about 146,000 followers, is run by a woman who identifies herself only as Nicole (she also runs @ohmyketo and has a keto-focused podcast).

Nicole says on her website that she’s been overweight her entire life and feels like she’s tried pretty much every diet out there. “I lost 100 pounds three years ago, only to turn around and gain back 65 pounds,” she says. “I needed a life change, not another diet.” So, she started on a keto diet in May 2016, and by December she had lost a significant amount of weight. She says starting the diet was the best decision she ever made.

Naturally, she’s posted her own before-and-after photos, too:

“[Keto] has allowed me to still enjoy all of my favorite foods yes its true and feel amazing while losing the excess weight that made me fall into a very unhealthy range,” she says. Nicole says that keto “gave me my life back,” stopped her from bingeing, and “taught me that I can do anything, even if it seems impossible at first!”

If these photos and Nicole’s story are enough to make you stockpile bacon and butter, keep in mind that all of the has spoken to recommend againstlooking to the keto diet as a long-term weight loss solution.

“Some in the medical community think that continued ketosis is dangerous because it could stress out your liver and cause destruction to your muscle tissue,” Tracy A. Siegfried, M.D., medical director at The N.E.W. Program, a bariatric and metabolic weight-loss center in California, has told WomensHealthMag.com in the past.

And even if more research ends up showing that ketosis isn’t dangerous, you’re still in for other no-fun side effects like constipation, headaches, period wonkiness, and dehydration—not to mention the sucky-ness of not being able to eat bread or grains.

So…there is always the less-sexy option of eating a balanced diet and exercising regularly if you’re trying to lose weight. But if you want to follow @ketotransformations to keep peeping on other people who are trying keto, your secret is safe with us.
